This isn’t the first bean. We had about nine beans that we ate right away in our zeal for growing our own food. This is the first bean that lasted long enough to photograph.
The beans are doing well, as are the tomato plants. The beets seem well on their way, as do the onions, squash and broccoli. We’re a bit concerned about our MIA carrots. The herb garden is chugging away, too – I had to harvest a bunch of sage, though what I’m going to do with this much sage is a mystery to me.
