2. … theatre. Ha! I worked in the business that is show for many years. I saw neat things and met neat people but the more successful I became, the less I enjoyed it. The more ridiculous things about artists and their whims just depressed me. Watching privileged and blessed people throwing tantrums over the most trivial events was not particularly fulfilling on any level. But by this time, Thomas and I had met…

3. … on the Internet. We met in a Yahoo chat room that was completely unrelated to romantic encounters. That doesn’t make it any less nerdy. Meeting and marrying Thomas led to moving away from my job and I did some office work for the first time in my life until we moved (again)…

4. … and bought our first house. It was built in 1890 and the last eight months have been filled with necessary renovations like putting in insulation and insurable wiring. We were working on a tight time-line…

5. … because two weeks after I left my job, I was pregnant! We had our share of trouble and like a lot of women, I realized too soon the crushing reality that getting pregnant and keeping that baby isn’t as easy as junior high health class would lead us to believe. We talked about this baby and our life to be as we waited for our sticky baby…
